The home plan can be evaluated and modeled with specialized computer software to estimate the as-built home’s energy use based on the specifications of the home plan. The results of this analysis help you identify the most effective upgrades needed to meet Energy Star or other building program, code or rebate requirements. Plan Reviews can also be used as projected ratings for some green building programs. Energy Modeling the plans is very beneficial in that it allows exploration of “what-if” scenarios to pick cost-effective measures for efficiency improvements without spending money and time on-site.
Pre-Construction & Design Charrettes
A Charrette is a meeting(s) of design collaboration with the goal of devising a building plan that takes into account every discipline and trade involved. This collaborative effort defines responsibilities and roles and can even earn points toward certain green building programs. Often conducting a Charrette in the early design phase can save thousands of dollars and valuable time and man-hours during construction.
On-site Quality Assurance, Analysis and Reporting
There are times when its critical to have an independent and third-party visit the job site to insure construction methods and installations are being performed properly and at the level at which you would expect in a high-performance home. We will not only visit the site, but talk with the trades and capture photo-documentation and written reports about each visit. We remove any doubt you may have with the quality of the construction.
Rebate & Tax Incentive Capturing
